Welcome to MET Talks, a seminar series specifically designed to inspire senior New Zealanders, hosted by leading retirement living experts Metlifecare.

Learning never ends for any of us, and with the passing years, new things become more interesting and more relevant: how to keep fit and well, shifts in nutritional requirements, lessons on optimism, dealing with grief, and remaining social are just a few potential topics.

MET Talks kicks off with Metlifecare’s own Wellness Ambassador, legendary New Zealander Buck Shelford. Buck will be sharing all he’s learned about maintaining good health at every age. Renowned for his candour, Buck promises an entertaining and informative hour – including time for all your burning questions – plus refreshments and a chance to win prizes too!

ABOUT

In our first seminar of the MET Talks Series, Buck Shelford discusses Health at Every Age.

Buck shares his life journey and the lessons he’s learned about his health along the way.

From a career in the Navy as the PT at sea, to the top of rugby’s pantheon. From time as a provincial publican to a very real skirmish with cancer, Buck pulls no punches as he shares what it takes to own your own good health.

“Health and wellbeing is something I’ve been involved with throughout my adult life and it has been especially important during my recent battles with cancer. I’m now into my 60s so recognise the need to stay on top of all round wellness.”

– Buck Shelford
